Health Insurance

Cashless treatment at network hospitals, without the paperwork.

One hospital admission is enough to wipe out years of savings. With treatment costs rising every year, a health insurance policy is no longer optional — it is the difference between getting treated and postponing treatment.

Through Paydeer, a retailer can compare health plans from multiple insurance companies, pick the cover that actually suits the customer’s family and budget, and issue the policy the same day. No running around, no long forms.

Types Of Health Insurance Available At Paydeer

  • Individual Health Insurance – a separate sum insured for one person, ideal for young earners and single-member cover.
  • Family Floater Plan – one sum insured shared by the whole family (self, spouse, children, parents) at a much lower premium than separate policies.
  • Senior Citizen Health Insurance – designed for members above 60 years, with pre-existing disease cover after the waiting period.
  • Critical Illness Cover – a lump-sum payout on diagnosis of cancer, heart attack, kidney failure, stroke and other listed illnesses.
  • Top-up & Super Top-up Plans – extra cover on top of an existing policy at a very small premium.
  • Personal Accident Rider – adds accidental death and disability protection to the health plan.

What A Paydeer Health Policy Covers

  • In-patient hospitalisation — room rent, ICU, doctor’s fees, medicines and tests.
  • Pre-hospitalisation and post-hospitalisation expenses (usually 30 and 60 days).
  • Day-care procedures such as cataract, dialysis and chemotherapy that do not need 24-hour admission.
  • Cashless treatment at the insurer’s network hospitals — the customer does not have to arrange money first.
  • Ambulance charges, AYUSH treatment and annual health check-ups, as per the plan opted.
  • Tax benefit on the premium paid under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the right sum insured for a family?

For a family of four in a tier-2 or tier-3 city, a floater cover of ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh is a sensible starting point. If the family lives in a metro or has a history of lifestyle illness, a top-up plan on top of the base cover is the cheapest way to reach a higher sum insured.

  • Yes, but only after the waiting period declared in the policy — usually 2 to 4 years depending on the insurer. It is very important to declare every existing illness at the time of purchase, otherwise the claim can be rejected later.

  • If the customer is admitted to a hospital that is part of the insurer’s network, the insurance company settles the bill directly with the hospital. The customer only pays the deductions that the policy does not cover.

  • Yes. For most standard health plans the policy is issued online within minutes of payment. Plans that need a medical test take a little longer, and the insurer schedules the test for the customer.

  • Yes. Premium paid for self, spouse and children is deductible under Section 80D, with an additional deduction available for premium paid for parents. The exact limit depends on the age of the insured and the tax regime chosen.
